ISLAMABAD, Sep 04 (APP): Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Public Sector Imports from Gwadar Port.
The meeting, attended by Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Qasir Ahmed Shaikh and senior officials, including federal secretaries from Commerce, Petroleum, Maritime, and Finance, focused on strategies to enhance public sector imports through Gwadar Port, said a press release .
The committee, constituted by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, engaged in thorough deliberations and decided to include representatives from the private sector, particularly the Shipping Associations, in its next meeting.
The committee will present its recommendations to the Prime Minister for further action.
